The Phu Quoc Night Market is one of the island's absolute must-visit attractions — hundreds of stalls packed with local Vietnamese street food, fresh seafood, souvenirs, and everything in between. The JW Marriott Resort took things up a notch by creating their very own exclusive night market — Rue de Lamarck — for their guests. Every Sunday evening from 6–10 PM, they invite real local vendors from across Phu Quoc to set up their stalls right along the resort's main street~~

Resort staff start buzzing around from the afternoon, hanging up night market signs all along the street. Paired with the colorful lanterns already strung above, the whole scene transforms into a wonderfully festive atmosphere once night falls!

All vendors at the resort's night market operate on their own currency — "Lamarck Dong" tokens — no cash accepted. You can exchange for tokens at booths set up at both ends of the market. Since unused tokens are non-refundable, we'd recommend exchanging just a small amount at first, scoping out what you want to buy, and then going back for more!

In addition to the real local vendors, the resort's own restaurants also set up their own stalls at the market.

Red Rum, the resort's grill-focused restaurant, brings out fresh seafood displayed right in wicker baskets — it genuinely feels like you've wandered into a stall at a traditional Vietnamese wet market!

The Red Rum stall even has its own rustic wooden outdoor seating area, romantically lit with candles~

There's also a dedicated VIP performance stage, with the resort's own beach serving as its stunning backdrop.

The resort's main restaurant, Tempus Fugit, serves up their signature crispy roasted pork at their stall.

The local vendors also offer a wonderful spread of Vietnamese street food bites to choose from.

And of course, the classic Phu Quoc night market staple — rolled ice cream! At this point it really does feel like they've brought the entire night market straight into the resort!!

After loading up on all the food you want, there's a seating area nearby with colorful plastic tables and chairs — just like you'd find at any street-side spot in Vietnam — where you can sit down and enjoy your haul~

The resort also thoughtfully arranges traditional Vietnamese dance performances throughout the evening.

If you still want to experience the "real" Phu Quoc Night Market, the resort offers a shuttle service called the Lamarck Express, priced at 100,000 VND per person round-trip. The shuttle departs every evening at 6 PM to take you into town, and at 9 PM the driver will wait at the original drop-off point to bring everyone back. (Always confirm the exact times and pricing with the front desk at check-in!)

Walking from the drop-off point toward the market, you'll notice there are actually two separate entrances (see photo below)~ But they're connected on the inside, so you can enter from either side~ The right-hand entrance tends to be a little livelier, for what it's worth!

Inside, you'll find plenty of souvenir shops and small stalls selling locally harvested pearls.

There are loads of local street food stalls and seafood restaurants — it's well worth a wander to soak up the real local atmosphere of Phu Quoc!

Even if you've already visited the main Phu Quoc Night Market in town, we genuinely recommend giving the resort's version a try~ The walkways are clean, there's no shoulder-to-shoulder crowding, and the atmosphere is absolutely spot-on. Yes, prices are a little higher than the regular night market — but the resort's "Lamarck Dong" system means you can simply sign everything back to your room, which is incredibly convenient. The resort's own restaurants have stalls here too, letting you enjoy chef-prepared dishes at night market prices. Add in the dance and singing performances, and every little detail just shows how much heart and care the JW Marriott Phu Quoc puts into the guest experience! And the best part? When you've eaten and drunk your fill, you just stroll back to your room — no commute, no hassle~ Highly recommended!
