After seven years of meticulous preparation, the Museum of the Future officially opened on February 22, 2022. This spectacular, virtual-looking structure that feels straight out of a sci-fi movie instantly became one of Dubai's most iconic landmarks! Wrapped in stainless steel and glass, the 77-meter-tall asymmetric torus shape features sweeping Arabic calligraphy on its exterior that provides a truly awe-inspiring visual impact~ It's no wonder National Geographic named it one of the 14 most beautiful museums in the world!

What’s even more incredible is that the interior structure doesn't have a single support pillar! It's composed of 1,024 individual stainless steel and glass panels. The Arabic calligraphy on the outside isn't just for show either; the glass cutouts play a crucial role in illuminating the interior with natural light. Looking from the inside out, it really gives off a futuristic vibe! The Arabic text features inspirational poetry from Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed. One of the translated lines reads: "The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn't something you await, but rather create." This choice of words perfectly embodies the vision of the architect, Shaun Killa, who wanted the building to represent Dubai's vision for the future. The interior exhibits heavily focus on robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and other innovative technologies. It is truly a "future" museum from the inside out!

The Museum of the Future is located right in the bustling heart of Dubai. If you're passing by, definitely don't miss the chance to catch a glimpse of its glory!

Cherry originally thought the Burj Khalifa was the absolute only observatory you had to visit in Dubai. But after seeing this photo posted on the Sky View Dubai Facebook page, her mind was instantly changed! (Because, let's face it, you can't see the magnificent Burj Khalifa when you're standing inside the Burj Khalifa 🤣). Located on the 52nd and 53rd floors of the Address Sky View Hotel, this observatory features a 25-meter-long glass skywalk. From a towering height of 219.5 meters, you get a bird's-eye view of Dubai's vibrant city life up close. The visual shock of having the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain right before your eyes is simply spectacular!

Besides the stunning views, Sky View Dubai also offers visitors a thrilling high-altitude transparent glass slide experience, gliding down from the 53rd to the 52nd floor!

📌 Note: The glass slide is restricted to visitors weighing between 30-150 kg and measuring 120-200 cm in height. If you want to ride the slide, make sure to wear appropriate clothing—no skirts, dresses, high heels, or shoes with sharp metal edges that could damage the glass! |Ticket InfoCheck official rules

For the truly brave-hearted, you can head out to the open-air area to challenge the Edge Walk! After getting strapped into a safety harness, you can walk along the outer ledge of the building and even lean back over the edge~ It’s a heart-pounding way to experience Dubai's luxurious cityscape and create an unforgettable memory!

📌 Note: The Edge Walk is restricted to visitors aged 12-65, weighing 30-120 kg, and 135-200 cm in height. We almost screamed when we saw this photo of Palm Jumeirah! Opened in April 2021, The View At The Palm Observatory lets you marvel at the entirety of the iconic Palm island. Previously, you'd need to charter a helicopter or fly a drone to get this perspective, but now you can take in the uninterrupted panoramic view from the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower, 240 meters up in the sky!

Aura Sky Pool - 360° Infinity Pool over The Palm

Perched on the 50th floor of The Palm Tower, approximately 200 meters above ground, Aura Sky Pool is the "world's highest 360-degree infinity pool." Imagine sipping on some cocktails, enjoying Asian-inspired bites, and lazily leaning over the edge of a gorgeous infinity pool! The scenery before you is nothing short of breathtaking. Whether you want a high-altitude view of Palm Jumeirah, a distant look at the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa, or just to zone out while gazing at the Dubai Marina skyline, this place satisfies every craving! This incredibly extravagant infinity pool with front-row seats to the Dubai cityscape is undoubtedly the ultimate spot for those perfect Instagram check-ins~~~

The iconic Burj Al Arab and the distant Burj Khalifa are also clearly visible~ Aura Sky Pool offers the exact same stunning 360-degree views as The View At The Palm observatory above it, but pairing those views with an infinity pool, great food, and wine makes for a significantly more chic and luxurious experience. It's also definitely the better place to snap those glamorous vacation photos! However~ this infinity pool does have a few rules. Check out the image below for official pricing and entry policies:

Image from official website

Entry tickets range from AED 150 to AED 1,800 per person depending on the time of day and seating zone, plus a minimum spend of AED 600 per person. The cheaper indoor seats don't grant pool access, so if you actually want to take a dip, the most affordable option still comes out to around AED 800 per person, which translates to nearly 220 USD. We can only say that such a luxurious setting naturally comes with a luxurious price tag~

Also, note that there are age restrictions for entry: children under 15 are not allowed in, and after 7:00 PM, nobody under 21 is permitted. Therefore, for families with young children or travelers on a stricter budget looking to see Palm Jumeirah, we highly recommend choosing The View At The Palm Observatory instead!

Expo City Dubai

★ Opening Hours: Please refer to the official website
★ Address: Expo Road, Dubai South Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE
★ Transport: Take the Red Line Metro to Expo 2020 Metro Station 2

Originally scheduled for 2020, the Expo 2020 Dubai was delayed due to the pandemic and kicked off on October 1, 2021, though it retained the "Expo 2020" name. This was a historic event, marking the first time a World Expo was hosted in the Middle East! The Expo left Dubai with numerous jaw-dropping architectural marvels. Although the World Expo has concluded, you can still visit "Expo City Dubai" today to witness the grandeur of these incredible buildings!

The most representative structure is undoubtedly the Al Wasl Plaza. With a massive diameter of 130 meters and a height exceeding 67 meters, this giant dome is adorned with intricate Arabian-style patterns. From the outside, it looks like a colossal, glowing Arabian lamp shade. Not only is the exterior breathtaking, but Al Wasl Plaza also serves as the world's largest 360-degree projection surface, projecting vivid images both inside and out~ Beyond Al Wasl Plaza, there are plenty more unique architectural wonders scattered throughout Expo City Dubai. If you have the chance, you definitely need to go check it out!

Inside Burj Al Arab Tour

The Burj Al Arab, famously known for its ultra-strict security and exclusivity, has finally opened its doors to non-guests! They recently launched an "Inside Burj Al Arab" guided tour that allows visitors to catch a glimpse of the luxurious hotel interior and its majestic Royal Suite. It's a fantastic opportunity to snap some up-close photos inside the iconic sail-shaped hotel. The tour also offers various packages that include drinks and light bites~

As a bonus tip, we want to share another way to get inside the Burj Al Arab! If you just want to check out the breathtaking lobby and the public areas on the first and second floors, you can make a dining reservation at one of the hotel's restaurants. Among them, Al Mahara is an extremely famous underwater restaurant in Dubai. Walking through its lavish golden tunnel leads you to a massive, floor-to-ceiling aquarium. Cherry actually visited this restaurant that feels like dining at the bottom of the sea!
